Our global Network Management service is based out of our
Network Operations Centre, (NOC) in Wokingham, Berkshire, 30
miles west of London, at the centre of the UK’s IT, telecoms
and high tech heartland.
The centre operates on a 24x7 basis for 365 days per year and
employs skilled and certified engineers, with access to 2nd
and 3rd level technical specialists sharing the same facility.
Using industry-leading network monitoring technology and fault
management tools the NOC provides you with real-time fault management,
comprising procedural diagnosis, invocation of remedial action
and ongoing status reporting for SNMP-enabled network devices
and attached communications links.
-
Typical examples of equipment that can be monitored
comprise:
-
SNMP-enabled routers
-
WAN/LAN interfaces on an SNMP-enabled router
-
SNMP-enabled Ethernet switches
-
SNMP-enabled hosts (COMMPETE can monitor for
up/down status and availability of Windows, UNIX, Novell)
It is also possible to monitor that common applications such
as WWW, Telnet, FTP, etc. are running on a server, although
validating content integrity is not technically possible.
These services can be enhanced by reporting tailored to your
own organization’s needs, such as ticket activity, network
availability, etc. against defined Service Levels.
This supports and facilitates Problem Management and Vendor
Relationship Management of your equipment suppliers, carriers
and other third parties impacting your networks.
